Rotary voice coil motors are high-performance, high-precision, high-response actuators designed to generate limited angular travel, typically ranging from 6 to 120 degrees. They provide a rotational pivot point and offer mechanical reset for the moving element. Rotary voice coil motors lack transmission components like gears, enabling direct drive with low inertia. This allows for extremely high angular acceleration and millisecond-level response times. They exhibit excellent control linearity, smooth motion control, and can achieve micro-radian-level precision positioning. RCOMs find extensive applications across various industries. In robotic arms, they are primarily used in end effectors or joints requiring rapid, precise movements. In laser welding and cutting systems, RCMs rapidly drive mirrors or lenses to fine-tune beam paths or switch focal points at high speed, adapting to complex surfaces or enhancing processing precision.
